The Role<\/h3>\n

The Infrastructure SME plays a critical role in managing and maintaining Access4\u2019s backend environments. The primary goal of this role is to ensure\u00a099.999% system uptime<\/strong>\u00a0while driving continuous improvement across all system functions and components.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  • Perform daily maintenance and upkeep of backend systems.<\/li>\n
  • Drive constant improvements and innovations to strengthen system resilience.<\/li>\n
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the engineering team and wider Access4 organisation, providing expert advice and solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the engineering and R&D functions to support the company\u2019s strategic goals.<\/li>\n
  • Serve as the on-call contact for after-hours events and system emergencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications & Experience<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in IT or a related field.<\/li>\n
    • Full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available).<\/li>\n
    • 5+ years\u2019 experience in Linux administration, including kernel and module-level expertise.<\/li>\n
    • 5+ years\u2019 experience managing on-premises environments.<\/li>\n
    • 3+ years\u2019 experience with Docker or other containerisation technologies.<\/li>\n
    • 3+ years\u2019 experience with Ansible or similar automation tools.<\/li>\n
    • 3+ years\u2019 experience developing in Python (additional programming languages highly regarded).<\/li>\n
    • 3+ years\u2019 experience with virtualisation technologies.<\/li>\n
    • Strong knowledge of TCP\/IP network stacks and monitoring systems.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) preferred.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of VoIP technologies (SIP) desirable.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.<\/li>\n
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n
    • Organised, methodical, and disciplined approach to operations and project delivery.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in the tools and technologies listed above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
