We caught up with Dan to learn more about his role as a Solutions Architect, what he enjoys most about designing customer-focused solutions, and how he helps bridge technical expertise with business needs. Of course, before diving into the technical side of things, we also put him through a few quick-fire questions to get to know the person behind the role!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q. If you had a theme song walking into the office, what would it be? 
<\/strong>A. Well, it definitely isn\u2019t Walking on a Dream by Empire of the Sun (as the first song on our office playlist… it’s been wildly overplayed!) – but it might be Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison

Q. What’s your comfort food after a long day?\u00a0<\/em>
<\/strong>A. Pot Noodle \u2013 Chicken and Mushroom

<\/strong>A. If you can\u2019t change it, then don\u2019t worry about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q. What drew you into technology and solutions architecture in the first place?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A. I like the problem-solving aspect of working in a technology role. Working in Solutions more specifically, my focus is always on aligning end-user needs with the right products and features. This allows me to build Proof-of-Concepts, piece information together and be detail orientated in everything I do. As someone who likes to understand things deeply and bring a sense of order to things, this industry is a perfect match for me.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q. How do you decide what’s actually worth learning next in a field that moves this fast?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A. When deciding what to learn, I ask whether it’ll still be relevant (or even growing) in a few years, or whether it’s headed for \u2018legacy\u2019 status. Right now, AI\/ML clearly falls into the \u2018worth learning\u2019 category. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q. What’s the most rewarding part of solving a genuinely tricky customer problem?<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A. The most rewarding part is a customer coming to you with a requirement or issue that is critical for them to meet\/ get resolved, and I am able to use my technical expertise and knowledge of our product suite to recommend or even build the right solution for them, leaving them satisfied and filled with confidence.

Q. Access4 offers a range of UC, CX and UX products, what excites you most about them?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A. What excites me about Access4\u2019s product suite is the growing flexibility we have to integrate the intelligence of AI with the UC\/CX requirements of our partners\u2019 customers, orchestrated via SASBOSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
